Phuket Local Food Festival, to January 24 |
By Phuketwan Reporter Thursday, January 20, 2011 PHUKET'S annual local food festival begins tonight at Saphan Hin public park in Phuket City. For anyone who has never seen how Phuket celebrates a fair, this is a great place to start.
Over five nights until January 24, food and fun will be the keynote. Local youngsters usually perform on the big stage, while families tend to enjoy a great night out doing what they love to do best.
There's inevitably an A-Z of Thai treats available, with local Muslim delicacies, too. Alcohol is usually available. It's organised and overseen by the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation.
